The Motor City Lyric Opera's success is made possible through a balance of contributions and ticket sales. The revenue generated from ticket sales makes up less than 40% of the necessary dollars needed to produce our quality performances. Every donation to The Motor City Lyric Opera is vital to our organization.
The contributions we received from the community last season allowed us to present affordable and accessible opera to the students and families of Metropolitan Detroit, in particular the underserved. Your gift helps to fund our Opera on Wheels Educational Outreach Program. We travel to numerous schools throughout the year, reaching over 10,000 students who may not have otherwise had an opportunity to be exposed to opera.
